On July 14th, the first coordination meeting of the organizing committee of the 10th China Liaoning (Yingkou·Dashiqiao) International Magnesium Materials Expo was held in Shenyang. The meeting announced that the 10th China Liaoning (Yingkou·Dashiqiao) International Magnesium Materials Expo, abbreviated as Magnesium Expo, will be held from September 22nd to 24th, 2023 in Dashiqiao, Yingkou, Liaoning Province. The China Liaoning International Magnesium Materials Expo is an international professional exhibition of magnesium materials industry created by the former Liaoning Magnesium Office. It was founded in Shenyang, Liaoning in 2004 and has successfully held 9 sessions. There have been more than 1,600 exhibiting companies, including more than 80 well-known foreign companies, and nearly 150,000 attendees, including 60,000 professionals and over a thousand foreign visitors. Magnesium Expo has become a professional event with significant influence in the field of magnesium materials at home and abroad, covering various forms such as exhibitions, trade, technical seminars, and talent exchanges.

This Magnesium Expo is hosted by the Liaoning Provincial National New Raw Materials Base Construction Engineering Center, the People's Government of Yingkou City, and the Liaoning Non-Metallic Mining Industry Association, with strong support from the Liaoning Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Natural Resources. It has also received strong assistance from industry organizations such as the China Refractories Association, the China Non-Metallic Mining Industry Association, and the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association. This Magnesium Expo will present the following characteristics:

Market-oriented operation, innovative exhibition mode: This Magnesium Expo has transitioned from government-led to market-oriented operation, entrusting the Liaoning Non-Metallic Mining Industry Association to undertake specific tasks. Through targeted investment promotion, online platform investment promotion, conference investment promotion, and cooperative investment promotion, efforts will be made to achieve full coverage of the magnesium materials industry.

Based in Liaoning: The magnesium industry, especially the magnesite industry, is an advantageous resource in Liaoning. This exhibition will be held in Dashiqiao, known as the "Magnesium Capital of China," with the aim of showcasing the latest achievements of the magnesite industry, leading the transformation and upgrading of the magnesite industry, and promoting high-quality development of the magnesium industry.

International Orientation: Well-known domestic and foreign companies, including those outside the magnesium materials industry, will be invited as key exhibitors to increase the proportion of domestic upstream and downstream companies participating in the exhibition and conference. The exhibition and conference will be supported by domestic refractories, building materials, chemical, and metallurgical industry associations.

Rich and Diverse Activities: During this Magnesium Expo, four sub-events will be held, including the "Achievement Exhibition of Liaoning Magnesite Industry Development," "Academic Exchange Conference of Magnesium Materials Industry," "Academic Exchange Conference of Magnesium Building Materials and Magnesium Chemical Industry," and "Scientific and Technological Achievements Exchange and Investment Promotion Related Activities." Domestic and foreign experts and scholars will be invited to have in-depth discussions on hot topics and cutting-edge issues related to the development of the magnesium refractories industry, the transformation and upgrading of the magnesite industry, policy interpretation on environmental protection, intelligent manufacturing, carbon peaking and carbon neutrality, and the direction and path of the transformation and upgrading of the magnesite industry. To support the transformation of the magnesite industry and encourage more young scholars to conduct research in the field of magnesium building materials and magnesium chemical industry, the organizing committee will join hands with Dalian University of Technology and Liaoning University of Science and Technology to hold the first International Academic Conference on Magnesium Building Materials and Magnesium Chemical Industry.

Problem-oriented Approach, Highlighting Achievements: This Magnesium Expo will be held in Dashiqiao, known as the "Magnesium Capital of China." The conference arrangements, including academic exchanges, technological project exchanges, and investment promotion, will be closely centered around the needs of the local government and enterprises, focusing on what enterprises think and what they urgently need. During the conference, investment promotion activities by the main producing areas' governments will be held, closely meeting the needs of enterprises and serving their development.
